HEY DRockers!

For all who were not present today, DR went on our first adopt-a-block today. We took on blocks 50 and 51 and gave out 2008 calendars! Rained for a short while. Still, was a good start. :)

Head's up on happenings in December!

• Next week, don't go to Vivo for main! Cos we're heading to Malaysia for church camp!
  
• This coming Friday, 14th, there's service! Pastor Joe Philips is our guest speaker and we heard he's really good (and funny too!) so do invite your friends along!
• 24th December, Christmas eve, DR's having the first Christmas party - DR @ the Emmy's. Glitz&Glamour. It's like a prom with awards and dinner! How exciting. :) Tickets are unfortunately sold out, but we'll have many pictures!

Psalm 91

Hey guys, here's a memory verse for all you DREAM07 trippers.
Chin suggested a few Sundays back that we all take Psalm 91 as a memory verse for the DREAM trip, as an encouragement to ourselves and one another, as a prayer for our preparations and even during the trip when we're in Thailand, and as a reminder of the promises of God. So let's take her suggestion and memorise this Psalm? :)

AND knowing Chin, you never know when she'll pop up beside you and ask for the Psalm. So gogogo! Spread the word too dearies.

Here's Psalm 91:

Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."
3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

Prayer Meeting

Hey guys!

Was great seeing a number of you turning up for our prayer meeting today! I'm sure we had a great time praying for the DREAM trip, yes! :)

THANKS ERNEST for organising the prayer meeting for all of us even in the midst of his promos! Let's all pray for him AND everyone else who's taking their exams (which is pretty much everyone save the poly and plmgss peeps!)

Continue to pray for the DREAM trip okay! Let's cultivate a prayerful heart. :)

For those who weren't there, DR went to help out with packing of rice for distribution at Lion Befrienders. Might not be the most fun thing for youths to do, but we sure did it efficiently together as a team - the scoopers, the knotters, the rice refillers, the plastic bags stockers and the product collectors! A little late, but GOOD JOB GUYS! (lol)

We'll come back with more compilations of pictures! Be sure to be at DR's prayer meeting this Friday yes! 7.30pm at our Ministry Centre. SEE YOU THERE!

The movie event was great success! Homework retreat has been productive for most. :) Now that the holidays are coming to an end, let's do our best with the community outreach with Lion Befrienders, and get re-energised, re-inspired and re-ignited for the long term of school work to come!

Adios Ps Heidi!

HEY guys!

If they breed, you bleed! Mosquitoes are going to start appearing if you don't start tagging! This poor site has been stagnant. But let's change that. =D

Well, for those who don't know it yet, Pastor Heidi has gone back to her home and to Merritt. She flew off early this morning armed with a BK meal in her tummy and a book "The Starbucks Experience" in her bag to kill time on the loooong flight. I'm sure Pastor Heidi has been a blessing to you in a way or another in the past year that she's been here, so let's remember to keep her in our prayers alright! She's gonna miss us soooo much, so do keep in contact with her!

In the mean time, remember to read the book of James and spend your special time with God!
He loves you.

Operation: VDAY Bake

Hey DRockers!

Sorry for the super overdue post, but both photographers have yet to send us the photos yet! (HINT! =D)

Here's a message from Charlene with regards to the Bake. She sent it to us quite some time back but we didn't check our mail. Our bad! =X Anyway.. Here it is:

Hiya DR,

Glad we did our "V Day Bake"! Hope you guys didn't finish the cookies before giving them out to your friends! I gave them out to my friends and realised that weren't enough to go around and felt so paiseh about it. But anyway, whatever the outcome, I believe we had fun working together and definitely believe that God saw our effort and heard our prayers!

To those that contributed in some way or another (be it materials, effort and prayer), thank you very muchie! This is our first mini "REACH-out" (to use Pam's words) to our non-believer friends, and it's only the beginning to a great year of sharing the love of Christ with others. We can look forward to more opportunities for evangelism in 2007.

Thanks again and hope you had a fantastic V Day!

Happy New year to all of you rockers out there.Don't know if any of you received this really good message from a fello rocker but I shall share it here with all of you on this New Year.

the clock ticks,the year passes but God's blessing is ever present,his grace overflowing. Wishing you a great new year...God bless and a happy new year!

If you wanna have some fun and excercise, don't forget to join us in our youth outing this month. Details? Go seek Benedick or your small group leaders:D AHH...and the 24th! Our very first Christmas celebration at the Vivo... Monday, the 25th...It's christmas!So remember to spend the day with your love ones and wish Jesus a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
