Hey guys!

If you're visiting for the first time because of Pastor's advertisement during service, then WELCOME! We hope you like the ultra cool look of the blog =D

Well, for those of you who were not present in church for service today, here's what Pastor Simon shared with us:

Philippians 1
Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus,
To all the saints in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons:
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God's grace with me. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ- to the glory and praise of God.

  1. Be thankful for what God has accomplished and be CONFIDENT in God's ability to accomplish His works.
-Paul could have been complaining to God, or praying for himself to be released from the prison, but he prayed for the church instead.
  2. Cultivate Agape love towards people
Agape is the highest level of love- unconditional love; no strings attached.
    1 Corinthians 13.
Well, the exams are here/coming for most of us, and we want to encourage everyone one of you to continue doing your quiet time despite having to burn the midnight oil (hopefully not?!?). And remember to always commit the papers you're taking to God and pray before you tackle it. AND don't use exams as an excuse to not come for service okay! Remember, God never forsakes those who love Him.

Anyway, if you pay attention to the right hand column, you'd realise that there's a new segment titled 'POWER IN PRAYER'. This is something new that we're using, and it is still under construction. It was done up in response to pastor's suggestion of putting up something for people to post their prayer requests, so that others can pray for them. So bear with us while we add some finishing touches to it!

Alrighty! Have a good week everybody, and don't worry too much about your exams. Do your best and let God do the rest! We'll be praying for you!

    LOVE, DRblogmembers
